Our Story

About Carp Porter

At Carp Porter, we’ve spent nearly 30 years redefining what it means to transport your gear efficiently, reliably, and without compromise. Born out of a genuine need for better mobility on the bank, we’ve grown to become the most trusted name in carp fishing barrows—because we’re anglers ourselves, and we know what matters.

How It All Started

We launched Carp Porter with a single goal in mind: to make life on the bank easier. Our very first barrow changed the game—and the iconic MK2 model set the benchmark. Built for strength, balance, and simplicity, it quickly earned its place as a favourite among anglers. Since then, we’ve continued to evolve, introducing models like the MK2 Fat Boy and the Tri-Porter, each one shaped by feedback from the bank. And when we saw the demand for more power, we responded—with our Power Porter range, making heavy hauls effortless for those who take their kit (and their fishing) seriously.

Built in Essex, Trusted Everywhere

Every Carp Porter barrow is built right here in Essex. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t outsource quality. By keeping production close to home, we maintain tight control over every detail—from the frame to the finish. That means barrows that last, parts that fit, and accessories that actually add value. It’s proper British craftsmanship, designed to go the distance.

Now Part of the Korda Family

We’re proud to now be part of the Korda family—bringing together two brands that live and breathe carp fishing. This partnership has pushed us further, unlocking new ideas, more innovation, and even better service. But one thing hasn't changed: we’re still Carp Porter, and we're still building the gear we want to use ourselves.

Still Leading the Way

Today, our range is more refined and capable than ever—whether you're hitting a local day ticket or setting up for a week-long session. From our rugged Tri-Porters to our high-spec Power Porters, everything we do is focused on making your time on the bank smoother, simpler, and more enjoyable. That’s our promise—and it's why more anglers choose Carp Porter barrows than any other.
